Marking line thickness measuring instrument (pavement marking thickness measuring instrument) is specially designed and produced for measuring the thickness of markings in production, quality supervision, engineering construction, and supervision entity. Both thermoplastic marking lines and cold paint marking lines can be measured. The measuring range is 0mm to 12mm while the measurement accuracy is 0.001mm.

Operation Steps

Preparation: Place the measuring base and the moving flat block (thickness measuring mechanism) at the same level, then place the digital high-precision dial indicator head into the mounting seat of the thickness measuring mechanism, and then tighten the screws.
Clear the display reading: Clear the digital high-precision dial indicator display.
Measurement: Place the measuring base on the marking line to be measured so that the edge of the joint with the moving block is parallel to the edge of the marking line. The moving block can fall or move down freely to measure the thickness of the marking line. To facilitate reading, press the hold button on the digital high-precision dial indicator, lift up the marking thickness meter, read and record the value.

Precautions for Use

In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, the zero value of the marking thickness measuring instrument should be adjusted as much as possible before measurement.
In order to ensure the movement of the moving block, attention should be paid to adjusting its relative position to the marking line before the test. At the same time, the surface of the marking line measurement area should be cleaned to obtain more realistic measurement data.
When measuring, you should pay attention to disabling the hold function of the digital high-precision dial indicator. Generally, press the hold button three times in succession to put the marking thickness meter in the measuring state.
Pay attention to prevent the instrument from falling during the measurement process to avoid damage to the instrument. When there is no measurement task for a long time, the battery of the digital high-precision dial indicator should be removed to extend its service life.

Storage Conditions

The measuring instrument and its accessories should be stored in an environment that is dry, clean, free of vibration, and free of flammable and corrosive items.
