What is the difference between thermoplastic and cold paint marking?
Thermoplastic marking costs more than cold solvent marking and it is more complicated to operate. However, its marking lines last much longer than those of cold solvent and suitable for heavy-traffic area.
Thermoplastic marking requires paint preheater to heat the paint, which increase the cost of project. However, the thickness of thermoplastic line is usually 1mm to 5mm and service life of the line is about 3 to 8 years. It is suitable for line marking projects in heavy traffic volume areas.
Cold paint marking operation is much simpler. The thickness of cold paint line is 0.2mm to 0.6mm and service life of the line is about half a year. It is suitable for old line transformation and line marking projects in low traffic volume areas such as parking lots and district
